When it comes to volunteering and community work, there are always challenges that require legal advice: for example, if you want to set up a charity, if a board member suddenly steps down, or when it comes to paying flat-rate allowances to volunteers.
There is often uncertainty: does the raffle at the summer party count as gambling, or does selling drinks and bratwurst at a league match constitute a commercial activity?
This is where the DSEE’s advisory service comes in: it enables you to make an informed assessment of the legal issue and ensures you’re on the safe side. The service ranges from advice on setting up an organisation, through questions about your articles of association, to enquiries regarding specific cases.
